Where:
At my studio, The Mind Tree Cafe, Rowde, Devizes, Wiltshire, SN10 2TQ
Limited to 12 people
A SPACE TO PAUSE
Modern life can leave very little room for simply being. There is always something to do, somewhere to be, something to respond to.
This workshop offers a different kind of time.
Time to slow down.
Time to notice.
Time to breathe.
Time to make marks without worrying about the outcome.
Time to encounter the natural world with fresh attention.
Time to reflect on what you need and what might be missing.
Through sensory awareness, embodied drawing, natural forms and reflective writing, we’ll explore how creativity can help us reconnect with ourselves, each other and the world around us.
It is part creative workshop, part mindful pause, part invitation to see differently and to just be.
ABOUT ME
I’m Hannah Cantellow, a multidisciplinary artist, poet and creative guide.
My passion is reconnecting people with the natural world through creativity and exploring different ways of being.
My love of geology and walking informs much of my own artwork, and I’m always intrigued by what lies just beneath the surface.
I’m an experienced teacher and printmaker with over 15 years of practice. Guiding people towards new pathways, whether creatively, personally or spiritually, which has become a central part of my work as a socially engaged artist.

ABOUT THIS EXPERIENCE
Drawing and sens ing - i nspir ed by Rudolf Steiner.
From nature, to noticing, and new encounters.
Writing for reflection.
This workshop creates space for curiosity about our relationship with nature , not as something separate from us, but as something we are part of. The day will move between quiet and conversation, reflection and making, stillness and exploration.
There will be space for each .
You might come because you want to…
- expand your drawing practice or discover new ways to create
- make more creative space in your life
- reconnect with nature
- explore creative mindfulness
- quieten the inner critic or inner monologue
- find more headspace and perspective
- reconnect with yourself
- get unstuck creatively
- explore journalling and reflective writing
- spend some time away from screens and everyday demands
- discover small, accessible ways to bring more creativity and connection into your everyday life.
You might be a creative person who feels blocked.
A writer or journaler .
A teacher, therapist or practitioner.
Someone who works in an office or in tech and rarely gets time to slow down.
Someone already interested in mindfulness, breathwork, wellbeing or nature.
WHAT YOU'LL TAKE AWAY
This isn't just a lovely afternoon away from everyday life.
You'll leave with simple, accessible creative practices that you can return to at home or during your working day.
You’ll have opportunities to:
Make space
Consider how you want to spend your time, and what other ways of being you might want to make room for.
Notice differently
Develop a closer relationship with the natural world and discover what becomes visible when you slow down.
Create without pressure
Explore drawing as an embodied, sensory experience rather than something you have to be ‘ good at ’ .
Reflect
Use simple journalling practices for self-discovery, perspective and connection.
Reconnect
With your creativity, your senses, yourself and the shared world around you.
A day designed to feel…
Safe. Respectful. Curious. Warm.
Relaxed and conversational.
Quiet when quiet is needed.
Joyful when joy arrives.
Grounding, mindful and supportive.
Explorative rather than prescriptive.
COME AND TAKE UP SPACE
At the heart of Mak e Sense, Mak e Space is a simple invitation:
What happens when we give ourselves enough time to notice what is already here?
The natural world has a way of bringing us back to ourselves.
Creativity can help us see differently .
And sometimes a few quiet hours, spent noticing, making and reflecting, can create a surprisingly big shift.
From time out of the everyday to finding more joy in the everyday.
From feeling busy to feeling present.
From being disconnected to feeling more human, more creative and more connected.
